Raymond Stetz, 68, beloved husband, son, brother and uncle, passed away February 6, 2021 in Ocala, FL with his wife, Lisa, by his side.
Born in Kearny, NJ, Ray grew up in Hazlet, NJ, attending Beers Street Grammar School, and later graduating from Raritan High School in June 1970.
He worked at Charles of the Ritz in Holmdel, NJ for many years. During his years there, he met Lisa Ann Rosica on a blind date. They were married September 8, 1990 and resided in Keyport, NJ. In 2003 Charles of the Ritz closed their Hazlet plant. Ray and Lisa moved to Hamilton, NJ and Ray went to work for David Michael Flavors until he retired in 2015. Upon retiring, they moved to Beverly Hills, Florida in pursuit of a slower, simpler life. In retirement, Ray and Lisa were active members of St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Beverly Hills where they made close friends, including Josh and Mary Renner.
Throughout his life, Ray enjoyed rock & roll and pop music. He was especially fond of and very knowledgeable about the Beatles. He was also an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. He enjoyed the many dogs he and Lisa had over the years and spent many days and weekends attending dog shows.
Raymond is survived by his wife Lisa, his parents Randi and Robert Stetz of Hazlet, NJ, his brother Ken Stetz and his wife Diane of Collegeville, PA, his sister Jo-Ann Johnson and her husband Chris of Brick, NJ, along with 4 nieces and nephews and 3 great nephews.
