Richard Griffith Chesrown, Jr. 1955 – 2021
Richard G. (Griff) Chesrown, son of the late Richard G. Chesrown, Sr. and the late Ruth Diamond Chesrown, was born on January 28, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio. After graduating from Elyria High School, he attended Bowling Green University and Wright State University, studying Business. He enjoyed a successful career in sales, then learned computer design and was a national award-winning kitchen designer for several home improvement companies.
Until his death on March 21, 2021, he shared a longstanding loving relationship with MarthaJane J. Friedrich, of Gainesville, Florida. He is survived by a sister, Sarah E. Chesrown, and friend, Jane A. Day of Earleton, Florida, by a brother Thomas E. Chesrown and brother-in-law S. James Steen of Saugatuck, Michigan and by two nieces, Molli Lovas (Craig) and Jennifer O’Brien (Patrick) daughters of his late brother, Michael G. Chesrown.

Griff and Marthajane were among the first people I met at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, and their friendly warmth and humor were among the reasons I kept coming back and put down roots there. May Griff rest in peace and rise in glory, and may Marthajane, and all the rest of Griff's family and friends, find a healing balm in their fondest memories of the man as they mark his exodus into his Sabbath rest in God's hands.
