Rose Peterson Lego

Rose Peterson Lego, 89 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on October 4, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born in Long Beach, California on February 12, 1930. She lived in several states in addition to spending her high school years in Guam. Rose attended the University of Pennsylvania earning a degree in Sociology. In June of 1955, she married her sweetheart, William (Bill) Lego of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They moved to Florida in 1965 settling in the Arlington area. While Rose raised her four children, she was active as a school volunteer, a member of the League of Women Voters and an active member of her church, St. John’s Episcopal Church. She treasured her time working on and supporting many Cursillo teams. Rose was also very passionate about her involvement in various community outreach programs Her many years as a volunteer at Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) is one example. Rose was an incredibly generous person with her time and talents. She always made everyone she came in contact with feel special and appreciated. Rose was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Margaret Peterson as well as her beloved husband, William (Bill). She is survived by her children Ellyn Evans, Janice Lego, William E. Lego and David Lego (Kim); Grandchildren Andrew Evans (Jessica), Jessica Evans, Matthew Lego and Elizabeth Lego. The family suggests donations to St John’s Episcopal Church or the charity of your choice.

HOW I DO MISS BOTH OF THEM, I DONT THINK IT WILL BE TOO LONG UNTIL I JOIN THEM, AND THEN, CHUCK AND I, AND THEM WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME TOGETHER, REJOYCEING!!!! HOW THEY WERE LOVED!!
