Rosemarie M. Scaffidi (née Kremer)

Rosemarie M. Scaffidi (née Kremer), of Interlachen, Florida, formerly of Dunbar and Cedarburg, Wisconsin, is remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Born on December 26, 1949, Rosemarie lived in Milwaukee and attended Pius Catholic High School. She went on to practice cosmetology, model in Hawaii and elsewhere, sing in bands, grow beautiful gardens, and work as an aide at Cedarburg High School. Rosemarie met her future husband, Charles N. “Chuck” Scaffidi, as neighbors in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1985. They married on October 11, 1986, in Milwaukee, and together built a rich family life with Rosemarie’s children from a previous marriage. The couple raised their five children on a historic 6.5-acre property in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, which included a site associated with the Underground Railroad. After retirement, they moved north to build a log home of their dreams on the shores of Young’s Lake (near Minnie Lake) in Dunbar, Wisconsin.  There, they enjoyed lakeside living and Rose dedicated herself as a Chaplain to local nursing homes and hospices until Chuck’s passing in 2022. In later years, Rosemarie relocated to Interlachen, Florida, residing on Faye Lake.

Rosemarie was a loving partner to her late husband, Charles N. “Chuck” Scaffidi. She was also predeceased by her parents-in-law, Charles and Ruth (Bornheimer) Scaffidi, and sisters-in-law, Elyse Scaffidi, Linda Scaffidi, her parents, Elmer and Charlotte Kremer, and aunt Shirley Bohn.
