Ruby I. Dyal passed away after a long illness on Dec. 10th, 2020. She was born Ruby Ida Jackson on Feb. 4th, 1943 in Macon, Georgia. She had one sibling, Shirley Moore (deceased). She moved to Jacksonville at age 19 after marrying Earl Dyal, Jr. She was a devoted wife and beloved mother to 3 children, Carla Dyal Jones (deceased), Kim Dyal Wiggins, and Karina Ruby Dyal Gundersen; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was widowed in 1992 and will be laid to rest at the grave of her late husband. She was a wise, compassionate, open-minded and young in mind and spirit person, and will be greatly missed.

Grandma Ruby was such a strong-minded, kind-hearted, loving woman. She truly impacted and touched those around her. She was the perfect combination of soft and feisty. I will never forget her laughs and stories shed tell of her childhood. She was the perfect influence of strength and wisdom that we can all follow. She was so loved. She is no longer suffering or in pain, reunited with my mother, and this gives me peace.

My Grandma Ruby, or as I call her “Mamaw”, she was the greatest grandma in the whole world. She was kind, sweet, strong minded, and generous to everyone. Mamaw always made me laugh and I loved the stories she told. I will miss her so much, but now she won’t be in anymore pain. Rest In Peace Mamaw. You will always be love in our hearts.

I was very saddened to learn that Aunt Ruby has passed. I have wonderful childhood memories of spending time with her when visiting family in Florida. May her memory be a blessing.
