Sandra Marie Mixon Wolff went home to be with Jesus on June 1, 2018. She was surrounded by love and peace alongside her two daughters, Emma-Lorraine “Raine” Wolff Araya (Royner) and Sandra Anne-Marie Wolff Fort (Bradley).
Sandra served as a public school educator for over 38 years, the majority of her teaching career spent at Woodland Acres Elementary School in Arlington. She was a lover of books and learning and passed that heritage on to her two grandsons, Aidan Antonio Araya and Lucas Henry Araya.
Through her family, friends, and the countless lives she impacted as a teacher, the blessing of Sandra’s life is far reaching; her legacy challenges us to fully embrace the beauty of this life. We celebrate that she is no longer in pain, and we pray that she is now complete - walking fully in the love of Jesus - and that we will one day see her again.
Preceded in death were Sandra’s parents (Miles Allison Mixon, Sr. and Emma Lou Sadler Mixon) and brothers and sisters (Lucy Lee Hoag, Patricia Annetta Simmers, Thomas Franklin Mixon, Miles Allison Mixon, Jr., Dempsey Warren Mixon, John Darling Mixon, Rufus Ashley Mixon, Leon Mixon, and Claude Lex Mixon).
Please honor Sandra’s memory by making a donation to the Jacksonville Public Library Foundation to help others experience the joy of books and learning that she so greatly loved.

AM, so sorry for your loss
Sandra was always so kind to me. I taught with her for 10 years at Woodland Acres. So sorry for your lost.
I will never forget our Harry Potter movies with Donna and others. We read the books and enjoyed the movies as much as any of the kids. No one loved books more than Sandi. My condolences to Raine and Anne-Marie and the children. Lynne Raiser
