Sarah “Sally” Ramsey Price passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2021, at the age of 59. Sally was born on June 22, 1961, at Coco Solo Hospital in the Panama Canal Zone. She grew up in Gainesville, graduating from Gainesville High School in 1979, and from the University of Florida, (bachelor of arts in elementary education, with honors), in 1984. On June 18, 1988, she was married to Stuart Price. They had two children, Eric and Alison. In 1998, the family moved to Subic Bay, Philippines, where Stuart worked as an airline pilot. Sally subsequently lived in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Vienna, Virginia, and Elizabeth City, North Carolina, before returning home to Gainesville in 2013.
Over the years, Sally was involved with her community in a variety of ways. She was a member of the La Leche League in Athens, as well as a member of the Parent-Teacher Association at Brent International School Subic. Upon her return to Gainesville, she found fulfillment working with the special needs community. Sally’s collection of seashells and lighthouse photography reflected her love of the beach. She was always eager to host visitors and cook them a meal.
Sally is survived by Stuart and their two children, Eric (married to Sarah) and Alison, her granddaughter Lucy, and her two sisters, Ellen and Elizabeth.

Until we are together again, (and I hope we will get to play that board game you made for me when we were little), enjoy those Heavenly shores, my dear, beautiful sister. You will always be my best friend. I love you!
I’m sad to discover Sally’s gone. I have been searching for her for years. My wonderful friend and roommate, I loved laughing with her, going to breakfast at Bertie’s Luncheonette, driving our matching white-ish Toyota “Corrodas” on the beach and to class at DBCC. We met working at Pizza Hut on A-1A, we had matching bathing suits, the same bad habits (and bad boys). When she married Stuart she said I was the only one who gave her anything with seashells on it (yet). We loved the beach. She loved The Doors and The B52s, we watched as MTV went live for the first time.
Sally, I’m sorry we didn’t get to reminisce and laugh one more time. Knock ‘em out up there my sweet funny beautiful friend. 💔
I’ve had a few hours to digest that you are gone, and that I didn’t locate you in time to reminisce a little. You were a good friend, I’m glad we got to spend those times together. I wish I’d been mature enough to tell you that I admired your cool nature, your dedication to playing and teaching piano, how kind and smart you were. And witty. You had a wonderful laugh. A huge smile. Thank you for being my friend, I miss you.
