Sharon Ann (Spencer) Bauer of Gainesville, Florida passed away peacefully Sunday, January 10, 2021 with her family by her side. Sharon was the third of six children born to Curtis and Virginia Spencer (Trepanier) on November 21, 1935 in Oconto, Wisconsin. She liked going to her Grandpa and Grandma Trepanier’s farm outside of Oconto and was pretty good at sports, especially ice skating. When she was a sophomore her family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Mercy High School in 1954. She worked at a drug store soda fountain and also for the phone company as an operator. She moved to Gainesville in June of 1962. She worked at an answering service, Florida Farm Bureau, and almost 29 years at Belk Lindsey’s in the Oaks Mall. She loved going to Crescent Beach with her family and fishing. She liked to play bridge and was a long time member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha service sorority.
She is survived by her long term companion Harry Brouillard, sons and their families: Michael, Elizabeth, Rachel and Christopher, Rebecca, St. Augustine, FL; Gregory, Karen, William and Kerry, Thomas and Jen, Montville, NJ; Christopher, Diane, Christopher and Diana, Eric and Leigh, Jessica and Skylar, Longwood, FL; Eric and Donna, Winter Springs, FL; Stephen, LeeAnn, Spencer and Sarah, Carter, and Haley, Gainesville, FL.
She is further survived by her brother James Spencer, Cottage Grove, WI and sister Carol (Allen) Johnson, Germantown, WI, and her close sister in law Cynthia Bauer, Tampa, FL, many other brothers in law and sisters in law. She will be greatly missed by her ten grandchildren: Rachel (Christopher), Christopher, Eric, Spencer, William, Jessica, Thomas, Carter, Rebecca, Haley, and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Virginia Spencer, step father Anson Abbott, her sisters Carmen (Spencer) Prekop of Milwaukee, Marilynn (Spencer) Robinson of Sun City, Arizona, Janice (Spencer) Hoover of Mass City, Michigan, sister-in-law Janet Spencer, and brothers-in-law Melvin Robinson and Robert Hoover. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, as she was loved by all. Her honorary pall bearers are her six grandsons: Christopher, Eric, Spencer, William, Thomas, and Carter.
