Stephen Walter Wawerczyk

Stephen Walter Wawerczyk passed away peacefully on Saturday October 13th, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. He was 59 years old. Stephen was born on July 18, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Raymond Wawerczyk and Penny Stalnaker. He was the second of six children. In the early sixties the family moved to Miami, Florida where he spent his childhood and attended North Miami Senior High School. Stephen moved to the Branford area in the early 80s and started a family, working as a veterinarian technician in the surrounding area. Stephen enjoyed life to his fullest, and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and trips to the beach and races. Stephen later moved to Levy County where he spent the rest of his days.

Stephen is survived by two children; two grandchildren; his brother, Lee (Shannon) Stalnaker; his sister Joely (Anthony) Rose. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, John Stalnaker, two sisters, Pamela Cohn and Michelle Lombardi, and one brother, Timothy Wawerczyk.
