Tanya Patricia Medders, 58, of Keystone Heights, Florida, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 23, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Micanopy, Florida.

She is survived by her life partner, Troy Johns of Keystone Heights; her four children: Lance Vickers (Rachel) of Texas, Amanda Ward of Palatka, Florida, Meagan Hughes (Shawn) of Micanopy, Florida, and Morgan Vickers of Florida; her ten grandchildren: Logan Vickers, Grace Olszewski, Cameron Vickers, Tucker Hughes, Adrianna Ward, Taylor Ward, CJ Ward, Remi Adams, Gabriel Adams, and Emma Jo Archibald; and her siblings: Juanita Madden (James) of Florida, Neal Harper of Florida, Alene Lewis (Steve) of Georgia, Gary Medders (Sharon) of Florida, Lequitta Leveen (Jerry) of Texas, and Angie Edwards (Jim) of Maine.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Osteosarcoma Institute in Tanya’s memory to help advance osteosarcoma research and bring hope to other families facing this disease.

A celebration of Tanya’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once they are finalized.
