Walter and I had many good chats at work. He was knowledgeable of philosophy, world events, history, and, of course, computers. We enjoyed coffee breaks, especially when the cafeteria had scones, but then Walter would have hot tea instead of coffee. He had a big heart and a love for humanity and his Christian faith.
I had the pleasure of working with Walter. He was an NTEU Steward for Chapter 16. What a Character!!! He was full of life stories, knowledge about world events and a LOVE for the People!!! He fought against the injustices of federal government employees in the workplace as a NTEU Steward! I will miss his world event conversations, his Love of books and his positive outlook on Life! RIP My Friend until we meet again on the other side…..
Rocky (Vice President/Chief Steward of NTEU Chapter 16)
Walter is one of the most unique souls I've known. He 'Always' had a smile, kind words, and an abundance of conversation. I began to embrace (look forward) to his conversations and found them to be educational, entertaining and enlightening. My life is enhanced by knowing Walter as a friend, co worker and fellow NTEU Chapter 16 steward. Serving as Walter's chapter leader was a pleasure.
Rest In Peace Walter!! You made a difference!!
My condolences to Walter's loving wife and family. I know he will me missed.
