William Charles Davison (Willie), born in Miami, Dec 7, 1952, passed away peacefully on Jan 2, 2026 in Gainesville, Florida following a long illness. Born to William Lawrence Davison and Helen Marie Rasmussen Davison, he is survived by his siblings, Maggi, Joe (Patty), Pat, Katie, and Terri; 10 nephews and nieces; 10 great nephews and nieces; and numerous cousins.
In his youth, he played baseball and basketball and was a competitive swimmer. He sang in church choirs, and one year was chosen to sing a solo at the Archbishop of Miami’s Christmas banquet. He enjoyed playing piano, guitar and various string instruments. He grew up exploring Florida on numerous family camping adventures..
He graduated from St. John Vianney High School, Miami Dade College and Florida Atlantic University. He had lifelong interests in music, history, philosophy and comparative religions
