William “Joe” King was born November 1, 1950 in Brevard, North Carolina, son of William and Helen King and brother to Phil, Bit, Jim, Sandy, and Allison. Joe traveled the world on the ships he pulled wrenches on. He eventually met Victoria and soon married. Joe was a proud dad to his kids and spent most of his time taking his little “June Bug” to Disney World. He would eventually start taking all his grandchildren which were his “little angels.” Joe spent his life doing whatever it was he felt like doing, which mainly consisted of having a Disney ticket in one hand and a beer in the other. Joe is survived by his loving sister Allison, brother Jim, wife Victoria, daughters Yarelis and Cheli, his grandchildren Nayeli, Adriana, Ruby, and Lily, his best friend Pat, and his pride and joy, his little boy William.

Dear Joe, just knowing you’ve left leaves my heart sad and heavy. Thank you for all the wonderful memories you’ve left with me. You were a big brother close to my heart. Thanks for all the times you looked over me, guided me, showed you cared, let me iron your fatigues for a quarter a piece, the laughs we shared, and sometime a tear or two. Oh, thanks for always letting drive. Theres so many memories in my heart that make me smile. Thanks for the times you protected me like the day my Daddy died. Joe thanks for being the worlds greates big brother. Your generosity and kindness towards others will be greatly rewarded where your going. One good man! Ginger
Vicki, L’il Joe, and family, I am so sorry to hear that Joe has passed on. I pray for the Lord to take care of you all and to bless you with comfort and to make sure you receive all you need. L’il Joe, you’re the big man now… Your dad was a great man and I know he taught you how to be one too. Now Joe can go hang out and play some poker and have a couple with Mike Farris and Tim Young like the old days seeing they are all together again… Big hugs for you all. I hope to see you soon. My prayers will soar with your names. Love you and miss you all… Sara
