Wilma Genelle McVicker, 74, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026.
Born in Hollandale, Mississippi, Wilma was the daughter of Virginia Sylvester Stanley and Roy Monroe Stanley Jr. She spent her childhood in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where she was raised before beginning the next chapters of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Linda Carol Stanley and Kathleen Stanley Evans; her beloved sons, Blain Myers and Keith Myers; and her first two husbands.
Wilma is survived by her loving husband, Michael Leon McVicker.
She is also survived by her sister, Joy Bennett and her husband, Arthur Bennett; her brother, Timothy W. Stanley and his wife, Bobbie Stanley; along with extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
Wilma’s life reflected quiet perseverance. Though she experienced profound loss, she continued to move forward with grace and determination, leaning on her Savior, Jesus Christ, for strength. She found joy in tending her flowers and beautiful orchids. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, her infectious smile, and the kindness she extended to others.
Wilma will be laid to rest with the McVicker family in Pennsboro, West Virginia.
